The Government continues to make unjustified, misleading or just plain wrong statements
about its identity card scheme. Unfortunately most journalists seem poorly briefed on the
issue so these "mistakes" go unchallenged.
So where possible I'm going to use these pages to reply on a point by point basis to
statements made by HMG.
