At the end of the day it all boils down to a matter of trust.
Do you trust Tony Blair? Do you trust New Labour?
Do you trust this and every other Government with the intimate
knowledge of our lives that compulsory National Identity Cards
will bring? Do you trust them not to abuse this power - now or
in the future?
Let's look at New Labour's record on this issue:
This Government cannot even be trusted to be honest about their own proposals. How can
we trust them to protect our privacy and our civil
liberties?
How can we trust them on the fundamental issue of compulsory national ID Cards?
This scheme must be stopped.
